Speed Mechanic

Welcome to Speed Mechanic! These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Speed Mechanic mobile application, website, and related services (“Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

 

1.  Eligibility

​

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Speed Mechanic app.  Users under 13 (“Minors”) may only use the Service with verified parental or guardian consent.

 

Coaches represent and warrant that they have the authority to manage teams, invite athletes, and handle athlete data in compliance with applicable laws.

 

2.  Accounts

 

2.1  Account Creation

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating an account and maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.

 

2.2  Roles

Users may register as:

• Athletes

• Coaches

• Or both

Certain features are restricted based on your selected role.

 

2.3  Team Codes

Coaches may create teams and share unique team codes with athletes. You agree not to misuse or publicly distribute team codes.

 

3.  Use of the Service

 

3.1  License

Speed Mechanic grants you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the Service for personal or team‑related training purposes.

 

3.2  Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful or harmful purposes

• Upload inaccurate, misleading, or inappropriate content

• Attempt to access data belonging to other users without permission

• Reverse engineer, modify, or interfere with the Service

• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others

 

3.3  Communication Features

The Service includes a tool that allow coaches and athletes to coordinate training. You agree to use these features responsibly.

 

3.4  Offline Use

Speed Mechanic uses an offline‑first design. You are responsible for ensuring your device syncs when internet access is available.

 

4.  User Content

4.1  Ownership

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service, including workouts, performance metrics, personal information, and team information.

4.2  License to Speed Mechanic

By using the Service, you grant Speed Mechanic a non‑exclusive license to store, process, and display your data as described in the Speed Mechanic Privacy Policy.

4.3  Team Data

Coaches may view performance data for athletes who join their team. Athletes consent to this data sharing by joining a team.

 

5.  Data Sync & Storage

​

Speed Mechanic stores data locally on your device and syncs with cloud services when available.

You acknowledge that:

• Local data may be lost if your device is damaged or reset

• Cloud data may not reflect the most recent offline changes until sync occurs

• Speed Mechanic is not liable for data loss resulting from device issues, user error, or connectivity problems

 

6.  Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. By using the Service, you consent to the processing of your data as described in the Speed Mechanic Privacy Policy.  Parents or guardians of Minors may request account deletion or data removal on the Minor’s behalf.

 

7.  Subscriptions & Payments

 

The Speed Mechanic app offers subscription‑based features or premium services. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the following:

 

7.1  Pricing & Billing:

• Subscription prices, available plans, and billing terms are displayed within the app and on the official Speed Mechanic website.

• Prices may vary by region due to currency differences, taxes, or app store policies.

 

7.2  Payment Processing:

• All payments are processed securely through the app store provider associated with your device (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store).

• Speed Mechanic does not directly collect or store your payment information.

 

7.3  Renewals

• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle unless you cancel before the renewal date.

• Renewal charges will be billed to the payment method on file with your app store provider.

 

7.4  Cancellations

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings.

• Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.

 

7.5  Refunds

• All purchases, renewals, and refunds are governed by the refund policies of the app store provider.

• Speed Mechanic cannot issue refunds directly.

 

8.  Intellectual Property

 

All content, trademarks, logos, software, and design elements of Speed Mechanic are owned by Curious Engine Studio or its licensors. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

 

9.  Third‑Party Services

Speed Mechanic integrates with third‑party services, including Supabase, for cloud storage, authentication, and synchronization.

You acknowledge that:

• Your data may be stored and processed through Supabase

• Supabase’s terms and privacy policies apply to cloud operations

• Speed Mechanic is not responsible for outages or service interruptions originating from Supabase 

 

You are encouraged to review Supabase’s policies to understand how your data is handled when synced to the cloud.

10.  Termination

​

Speed Mechanic may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

You may delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting support.

 

11.  Disclaimers

 

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Speed Mechanic does not guarantee:

• Accuracy of analytics

• Availability of cloud sync

• Error‑free operation

• Fitness improvements or athletic outcomes

12.  Limitation of Liability

 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Speed Mechanic is not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

• Loss of data

• Device issues or failures

• Actions taken by coaches or athletes

Total liability will not exceed the amount paid (if any) for the Service in the past 12 months.

13.  Changes to the Terms

 

Speed Mechanic may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14.  Governing Law

​

These Terms are governed by the laws of your region, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles.
